The decision to integrate English in our company came suddenly and I knew quickly that this could be a problem for me. I’d had no necessity to speak English since I finished school long time ago (over 20 years – no more details please), neither in the university nor in business. I don ´t know why – it was no theme – this was the reality.

English is all around us – the language meets us each day and I always thought I understand a lot – but I had a big problem to speak and to write. No – it just isn´t quite right: To speak was the bigger problem! I remember: I took too much time just for an easy email – to my mind: A big catastrophe. Conversation was hardly ever possible. An even bigger catastrophe – mainly when I should take a call!

And then I met Aaron and he told me and promised that I would feel comfortable to speak English in a really short time – in 6 month – when I do what I have to do – and my English challenge began – on the 15^th of January 2009. Now, one and a half years later – he was right – the first time was hard and I had a lot of ups and downs with my daily work and I ´m still having them – but I `m dealing with my English skills and I lost the fear to speak. English is part of my daily work. Reading English books, articles and newspapers, hearing English podcasts are only some examples. The greatest challenge is to believe Aaron and to forget the own experiences from school. Read “The forty day habit” over and over again and you`ll understand how “Habitual English” works. “How can I keep the fire burning, to do it every day?” – I think this is the key question. And each of us should find their special way to do it.

Now – one of my greatest challenges is to find people who have fun and the motivation to speak English. I can feel it everywhere – there`s a great uncertainty – to speak English in private and in business atmosphere. And on top of that, it´s a great feeling that I ´m able to do this. Yes, I would like to say the feeling to know that it´s possible anytime – whenever it ´s necessary – this is great!

At the moment we haven´t daily talks, meetings, and so forth in English but English comes slowly and permanently in our company from different sites via email, phone, or via a job to make a presentation, image brochures, reports in English and I ´m well prepared.

I´m able to switch from one second to the other from German into English and with an additional possibility for a slight “warm up” it works. With a “warm up” I mean a short talk about the weather, god and his wife – and it´s up to you to do it J

At this point, it ´s time to say “Thank you Aaron”, for your support, your special way and system of improving my English and your excellent ability to motivate not to give up.

At the moment I `m working the most of the time to extend my active vocabulary and the best thing is that I´ll never be at the end. It ´s a never ending challenge and I love it. I may not be perfect, but I am perfectly happy and comfortableJ

In 2010 begann ich eine neue berufliche Herausforderung in Nürnberg. Bedingt durch diese neue Tätigkeit war ich gefordert, mein etwas angestaubtes Englisch wieder aufzufrischen –„English was not and is not my prefered language“- da ich auch für die Auslandsstandorte in unserem Unternehmen verantwortlich bin. Durch eine alte Bekannte bekam ich den Tipp, Aaron Sartin-Bethell anzurufen, er wäre genau das, was ich suche. Bei unserem ersten Treffen am 5. Februar 2010, erklärte er mir sein Konzept. Dabei machte er mir klar, dass er sich nicht als Englisch-Lehrer, sondern eher als Coach versteht, dass heißt, nur wenn ich mich klar an seine Spielregeln halte, wird das Ganze erfolgreich. Es waren schwere Monate, aber heute fünf Monate später kann ich sagen.

• Er stellte klare Forderungen auf anspruchsvollem Niveau
• Jede Stunde mit ihm war ein Erlebnis
• Er erkannte meine Schwächen und schlug konkrete Übungen, aber vor allem auch Verhaltensänderungen vor

Damit kann ich heute, fünf Monaten später, meinem Coach Aaron nur ein hervorragendes Zeugnis ausstellen.

• Ich bin wesentlich sicherer im sprachlichen Ausdruck
• Grammatische Wendungen sind mir wieder präsenter
• Ich fühle mich wesentlich sicherer im Umgang mit meinen englisch sprechenden Kollegen.

Dafür bedanke ich mich, mir hat es und machte es immer noch viel Spaß – auch wenn ich viel zu wenig Zeit für die Sprache habe – aber ich arbeite daran, Englisch zu meiner „preferred language“ dank der Unterstützung und Motivation von Aaron zu machen.

ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich mit deiner Methode der englischen Sprache so nah kommen würde und dass in so kurzer Zeit und mit relativ geringem Aufwand. Da ich schon einige Versuche gestartet habe, die leider nicht sehr erfolgreich waren und mich meinem Ziel englisch sprechen zu können, nicht weiter gebracht haben. Bei dieser Art zu lernen – jeden Morgen mit englisch zu beginnen und jeden Abend auch damit zu beschließen – is absolutely amazing!!! And I´m so happy for all your help… THANK YOU!
Das einzige was man tun muss ist, sich wirklich jeden Tag hinzusetzten und es auch tatsächlich zu machen… das ist entscheidend für den Erfolg. Das hat mir auch in anderen Bereichen meines Lebens geholfen, erfolgreicher zu sein!
Ich kann nur jedem aus tiefster Überzeugung Raten, sich diese Methode anzutun…

Hallo Aaron,
ich kann Deine Philosophie “Habitual English” nur bestätigen und kann Sie einem jeden weiterempfehlen. Nach anfänglicher Skepsis habe ich innerhalb kürzester Zeit alle Lernblockaden und vor allem die Hemmungen beim Sprechen der Englischen Sprache überwunden. Vielen Dank für Deine Motivation und vor allem für das Geheimnis “Habitual English” … für mich war das die English-Pill, die jeder vergeblich sucht und nicht findet !
